Review on Premium Artisto Colored Pencils Set Of 72 With Soft Core Leads, Blendable And Vibrant Colors, Ideal For Novice And Expert Artists by Jayson Sharma

Not really art pencils, but great for coloring.

I've been looking for a replacement for the well known name brand art pencils since they changed them for the worse a few years ago. These are good pencils, but they are not that replacement. The colors are bright and saturated. The core is big and medium hard, not soft as stated. You really have to abuse them to get them to flake or break. If you are using these for coloring books, they're just about perfect. They are a little too hard for art projects. They lay down fairly well. You can go very light, or really dark. They layer fine, but they are not blendable at all. A blending stick does nothing but shine them up. This is their downfall for me.They come in a hinged tin box with three trays, so the color you want is easy to find, no big jumble of pencils. For what you get, the price is pretty amazing. If you just want a good set of pencils to color with, these are hard to beat.
