Review on RCA NEVO Smart Device Remote by Ashley Rodriguez

Installed one of these in my living room last night, loving it so far. This allowed me to do exactly what I've wanted to do for a long time, stop messing around with 10 different remotes trying to turn on TVs, audio receivers and Blu-ray players and change inputs. I was able to easily add all my devices using the Nevo smartphone app which syncs with this 'IR blaster' device and with the click of a 'button' I have my TV, stereo and Blu-ray disc. player. turned on and installed the correct "channel" to watch movies! Touch 1 more 'button' and my cable box turns on and my TV connects to the appropriate 'input'. Though I wish the app had a little more "customization" options. It allows you to change many functions/icons etc although not all buttons are customizable and it would be nice to be able to have specific functions on one screen rather than having to scroll to another screen but I'm happy with my setup now that I've had time to play with her. Now if only I could think of a way to get Revane's "Alexa" to work with these baddies using my Echo. "Alexa, Nevo Watch Blu-ray!" Maybe with a custom skill? IFTTT? IM working on it. Disclaimer: I was able to find a pair of these RCA Nevo units on sale for $19.99 and also had a $10 coupon which brought my grand total down to $29.99 for 2 units for 2 different rooms which probably added to my 5 star rating contributes. and I'm sure there is a better choice for universal remote control devices like "Smart Hub". but I don't think it's any better for the price. Edit: 5 to 4 stars. I've since bought a "proper" Harmony Smart Hub that I can control both remotely and by voice with Revain Echos. For the price I paid for these Nevo devices. it still deserves 4 stars. but the Harmony Smart Hub is definitely what you need. However, since you can only connect one Smart Hub, the Nevo devices I have are still used in bedrooms as you can control multiple and Harmony controls the main TV.
