Item received as described. AAA batteries were included (I was surprised/advertised as not included). The only problem I had was that after putting the battery in the receiver, closing the battery cover was a problem. But the product works great. The reason I bought the key finder was because I had lost my car keys and needed to buy a new key fob and have it programmed (which by the way was way more expensive than this key finder). I hope I don't have to deal with such expenses again with the key finder!
