I've spent a lot of money on cables over the years. Cables that promised a smooth, velvety chocolate sound. Cables that cost a lot of money to justify these companies' exorbitant advertising budgets. Cables that were honestly overpriced and didn't live up to the high expectations of this audio enthusiast (Audioquest & Transparent I'm looking at you). Unfortunately, there are no rules or checks and balances for the audiophile consumer. Snakeoil vendors can sell the most beautiful cable you've ever seen and convince you you're going to hear something you've never heard before. It's like the vitamin industry: take that little green pill and any pain you feel will magically go away until the next little blue pill comes along and convinces you that you can't live without it. That's how the audio cable industry works: they convince you there's a problem, and they promise you the world to solve that perceived problem if you just buy their cables. It's all nonsense. What you now get with the Blue Jean speaker cable is great sound without the hype and hype that these other well-made speakers are deceptively promising. I'm embarrassed to admit I've fallen for the hype for nice, stylish looking cables and cables with little boxes that promise to filter out dirt. I can honestly say I heard no difference in sound quality when I replaced my transparent MusicWave speaker cables with Blue Jean cables. See, a well-shielded, well-made cable like the BJC will perform at an audiophile level without breaking the bank. Go and sell your beautiful luxury cables to some other jerk who doesn't understand the electronics, physics and science behind good sound. Are these cables beautiful works of art? Well, if your idea of a work of art is a well-made product with particular attention to quality and price, then yes. This is a great cable that will make your music sound smooth, velvety and chocolaty at no extra cost, allowing you to spend that extra money you saved buying it on liquids, velvet and chocolate. Stop reading this review and buy these cables if you're interested in great sound, affordability, and no audiophile bullshit. Don't make the same mistake I did by buying expensive cables that promise the moon and just empty your wallet. Thanks for the great BJC cables, one day we all owe you a drink.
