I used a colander to strain the celery juice after running it through a blender. With this set, I can just pick the one that fits over the bowl below and just squeeze the celery juice through a fiber and strainer. Sieves have holes that are too small. for this purpose. Large size for any job, easy to clean, stackable and easy to store. I only do the dishes to clean. I'm glad they're stainless steel; I would never use aluminum.
