Just received and batteries installed. So far, so good. I wouldn't mind if it was louder, but when I was thinking what to buy and looking at the reviews, it seemed to me that there is always someone who has such a comment on each of them. I bought it because I recently lost a sachet of insulin in it. I can't find him anywhere and the only thing I can think of is that one of the dogs grabbed him and dragged him outside. Now I have a new case and one of these receivers is attached to it and the other is attached to the case that contains my meter. We also test it on a dog that often starts barking. I didn't rate the battery life, but I'm sure it will be good. Batteries of this type usually last a long time.
