Ideal for solar charging when hiking. I found this useless when connected directly to my phone as for some reason the phone would stop charging every few minutes. When it does, the screen will also turn on and drain the phone's battery more. When I connect it to the battery, it charges stably and then I can use the battery to charge my phone or whatever I need to charge. One star deducted because the phone thinks it's not charging anymore. I have a battery (about the size of a pack of cigarettes - don't remember the exact capacity) that charges my phone 3-4 times. The solar panel fully charges this battery in less than a day of sunlight, so it does its job more than efficiently. It's not small, about the size of a sheet of paper, but it's very light and well made.
