I liked the trimmer for the price. It cuts well, the charge lasts a long time, there are a lot of attachments. However, he had some problems; 1. He died after 3 years. It will not charge. The switch worked but no more power. I've emailed Val about the 5 year warranty but no response yet. I called them and they said they would fix or replace it for free and it would take about 3 weeks. I wanted to return it until I estimate the return shipping cost. It costs about $30 including pickup. I can't drive so this is necessary. Spending $30 on a $35 trimmer replacement seems crazy. My version came with a stand that didn't go with everything. It seems that the new version comes with a bag.5. Several people have complained about rust. I've never had this problem. I find that cutting blades are made of carbon steel, which is an excellent blade metal with one exception. He is very sensitive to water. Carbon steel can become extremely sharp and retain an edge. It makes good quality katanas, but they need to be coated with a thin coat of oil to prevent rusting, even when not in use. I do this with my sword and Wahl trimmer. UPDATE: I was contacted by Wahl after writing this review. They couldn't have been better. They offered to fix things for me. They send me a new trimmer without returning the old one. As I really appreciate the customer service, I have changed my rating to a well-deserved 5 stars.
