Review on πŸ“± Aduro Combo Case & Holster for iPhone XR: Slim Shell, Swivel Belt Clip, Built-in Kickstand by Nick Andep

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Updated: Tippy stand; same product

I had an Aduro product made for the iPhone 6S, this product worked very well with my previous phone, I really liked it. However, two problems arose: The design of the Aduro holster for the iPhone Xs needs some design adjustments. one). To me, the extra weight (Xs) means the case material is tactilely a little too slippery (for now), as the phone tends to slowly slip out of your hand unless you're gripping it tighter than you'd like for more comfortable long sessions.2). Stand tilting issues when using the stand vertically and horizontally. Since the iPhone Xs is a bit taller, the small plate on the "stand" is too short. He has to move his pivot point further, causing the short plate to lengthen and the long plate to grow correspondingly. This of course requires three new MFG shapes to replace the current shapes used in the Back and Stand parts. Finger through the gap created when opening the side stand. Advantage; Holding the phone this way is more secure. Otherwise this holster is perfect. Update: One of the stand slots is torn at the shorter end causing the stand to fall out of the case. Tolerances on stand and slot width have problems: too loose, so the corner of the short end broke off. Difficult to open. The outer finish was too polished so I had to sand and harden the sides which makes it easier to hold the phone out of the case. because more than a smooth "felt" is needed in the holster to prevent the "rivet head" from shifting under the felt when worn on a belt with no phone mounted.
