First let me say that I'm not a gamer. However, this monitor is also great for many other tasks. Specifically, I do a lot of CAD work and modeling and the 1920x1080 resolution isn't as crisp as I'd like on a 27" monitor and the 4K resolution is tiny and some Windows apps don't work well with that anything but native scaling. The 2K 2560 x 1440 resolution of this panel is perfect for my own applications. In terms of image quality, this is great. The image is sharp and clear, with no distortion, no dead or stuck pixels, and no noticeable changes in brightness. on the panel. Basically, this panel doesn't have any of the issues I've seen with panels from some of the much more established brands. Contrast levels are amazing with the fantastic black levels that VA panels are known for and are not compromised by the excellent anti-glare coating. Color rendering is also excellent, with color gradients clearly visible at all stages. Although this is a VA panel and not an IPS panel, the viewing angles are excellent without any problems, which I can see from any angle you normally look at. one panel off (even a drastically changed viewing angle is fine - and WAY better than any TN panel has ever offered). There's some blurring on a black background when testing with fast-moving objects, but it's less than I've ever seen on a VA panel, and movies and videos look great on it. The settings on the monitor also offer much better than average configurability, with full settings for gamma adjustment, HDR support and acceleration control to fix motion blur. Aside from the picture quality, everything else about this monitor is great too. The stand is very similar in design to the stand used in more expensive Dell Ultrasharp displays, with full tilt and swivel capability, tremendous height adjustment, and plus or minus 90 degrees of swivel to portrait mode. And if you want to remove the stand and use the swing arm, there are standard VESA mounting holes on the back. The LED backlight is nice, but I can live without it (and it's easy to turn it off in the menu). The body and stand are also finished in an attractive black style with minimal bezels. Also the OSD menu is very simple and easy to navigate using the mini joystick on the back of the unit (the control also provides quick access to input selection and volume control for sending audio to headphones etc.). Response time and overdrive settings to reduce ghosting, I'm sure this monitor will be great for gaming, but it's by no means just for that. This monitor is also ideal for productivity and media creation, and its resolution makes it a significant improvement over 1080 panels for use with drawings and design work. To be honest I've never heard of Jlink monitors before but after playing around with this monitor I'm very happy with what I have now. I'm dying to order a second one to replace my two current 1080 panels.
