The copper coloring wears off quickly with regular use and washing.
Wearing copper paint has been done within 1 month of use and washing. Of course, I cook and bake a lot, so I use them very regularly. These are perfectly functional mixing bowls and lightweight if you care, but if you're looking for a quality copper stain that will last, this set isn't for you.
