I was a little nervous when the blade hit the glass on my 72 gallon nose. At first I was afraid of scratches. But it didn't leave a single scratch. It slid between the clinging algae and the glass surface like melted butter. I then worried about whether a straight blade would work on the curved face of a tank's nose. The blade never lost contact with the glass. Simply put, this scraper worked way better than I expected. I have spent many hours brushing algae off the glass of my aquarium. (I tend to leave it too long between cleanings, and it doesn't help that the aquarium is in a room that gets more daylight than it needs, which encourages algae growth.) Scratching glass has always been a problem tedious process. and one i hated. This scraper did the job front, side and back in just minutes. The handle and its extension gave me more than enough reach. My hands never got wet. And it's metal, so even at maximum range the blade went exactly where I wanted it to. Definitely a great buy. sense of quality. And it does the job as advertised. Definitely five stars.
