I am a skilled seamstress and have been working for 23 years with the same machine. Last week I had to bring my stationary Eddie into the store for the first time and was in dire need of a replacement/replenishment. It would be easy for me to go completely overboard with a new car but we have just bought a new house so the budget is very tight at the moment. So I ordered this one. It arrived on time I took it out of the box, pulled a gold jean thread over it and went right through a pair of jeans like butter. It sagged and buzzed a bit in the triple inseam (12 layer stretch denim) but went straight after that and everything else felt fine. And the finished seam looked just like a factory hem. The stitch length was perfect and the machine didn't freak out with that heavy topstitch thread like my regular machine did. Then I took a piece of purple satin and played with the settings, going up and down with bright white thread, changing stitch and stitch length just to see how they all look. One word "WOW", she is just dynamite, cute and fast too. The piece of junk was so funny my daughters fought over it last night.
