Review on High-Quality OEM Sliding Door Lock Actuator Motor for 2006-2014 Kia Sedona 81447-4D500 by Rob Dixon

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Fixed an issue with the power sliding door on my 2007 Hyundai Entourage.

I got a single beep every time I tried to open the passenger side sliding door. I was able to open it manually. When I tried to use the remote or any button in the van I just got a beep and the door didn't even sound like it was trying to open. I've watched several videos and read on several forums that this could be the most likely cause. I decided to order and try. Installation was relatively easy, I'm the tinkering type of guy so opinions may differ. The worst thing is the black, tar-like substance that sticks the plastic wrap to the door. Pro tip: Don't wear anything fancy to this job. After installing it, I tried opening the door and to my dismay it still didn't work. I closed the door to get water. When I came back, to my surprise, the door worked perfectly. My guess is that the sensor needs to be reactivated. The only tools I used were a Phillips screwdriver for the screws on the door and the plastic cover that houses the motor. Flathead screwdriver to pry off the panel. 1/4" ratchet with 10mm extension for a bolt on the door panel and a couple of nuts behind the panel. A small set of mandrels for removing the clip holding the inside handle in place. And a pair of needle nose pliers to loosen part of the door handle and latches behind the door panel.

Pros
  • Power Door Lock
Cons
  • Bad Impression
