Bought it to fix the driver side of a 2002 .

Bought it to fix the driver side of a 2002 honda crv because the door locks won't lock and the key hole gets stuck. This help fixed the door lock on the driver side. A++now just the waiting game to see how long it will last unlocking and locking of the door locks.

Pros
  • The actuator is a direct replacement for your vehicle's factory-installed door lock actuator, ensuring that the lock works as good as new
Cons
  • Regular wear and tear causes reduced functionality

Great inexpensive part

Worked great for my dads 03 honda element. Tricky to install if you have never done it before, look online for a step by step DIY and make sure you pay attention to how the linkage is connected when reinstalling

Pros
  • The Honda Accord Civic CR-V Element Odyssey Pilot Acura RSX Front Left Driver Side Power Door Lock Actuator is a genuine OEM part, ensuring utmost quality
Cons
  • The product may no longer work after certain lock functions have been used excessively

Died in less than two years

Installed Feb 2020 a big pain to install in the drivers door of my 2008 Honda Pilot Died Sept 2021 just stopped working. will not actuate with remote control but still has power because it still locks the other door when manually pressed down

Pros
  • Cheap, it's been a year and still going.
Cons
  • Can affect other door functions such as electric window controls or mirrors

Fits driver's side 2003 Acura RSX

Fits driver's side 2003 Acura RSX. Found some youtube videos on how to get this out. Noticed they cut out the hard parts. Just expect this job to take longer than you think. Seems to do the job but can't comment on how reliable this replacement will be since I just swapped it out.Updated July 2018: Failed after 1 year of use. Considering the install isn't super quick, I'd recommend a better quality part

Pros
  • I just installed actuator switch and it's working perfectly. Very happy.
Cons
  • May result in scratches and dents during installation

Getting to the actuator is the painful part!

Works as intended. It's been installed for about 4-5 months now. Getting to the actuator is the painful part! But the part works great.

Pros
  • Worked like a charm with my 2005 Honda Odyssey.
Cons
  • May cause other components near the actuator to malfunction

Fit like a glove, and is working fine! - 2 YEAR UPDATE

My earlier review below stands. Here's an update after a little under 2.5 years:It worked flawlessly, until it didn't. It just stopped working one day. And unfortunately it failed in the unlocked state. I couldn't even manually push the door lock down. Needless to say, that was a bit worrisome.I ordered another actuator (different brand) and had it installed in about an hour. Hopefully this one may give me closer to the OEM lifespan of 10 years my original one did. But only time will…

Pros
  • Works great. Plug and play. Seems to be OEM quality. Great purchase.
Cons
  • Can be difficult to locate a replacement if damaged

works great on my review.

It works well but was A PAIN to install. I did it on my own. But i know nothing about cars. It did it correctly although it took my like 2hrs

Pros
  • The actuator is designed to offer silent operation, ensuring that you won't hear any noise when using the door lock
Cons
  • Compatibility issues with specific factory-installed lock types

Perfect replacement for 2008 Honda Odyssey

I have no idea how long this actuator will last, but it looks exactly like the OEM Honda one I replaced. A local shop quoted $150 to replace the actuator after the door lock quit working (and all remote locks quit as well). There are some excellent youtube videos that show exactly what to do to replace the actuator. Specifically research how to remove the exterior bolts holding on the door locking mechanism. It took me about 3 hours to replace. Go step by step and remember where every bolt…

Pros
  • The actuator is relatively lightweight, making it easy to handle and install
Cons
  • The product can sometimes become stuck and cause miscommunication with other door components

Does not fit 2005 Honda Civic Si

Listed as working with 2001-2005 Honda Civic, but this is the wrong part for the 2005 Honda Civic Si model! Because I didn't try this out within 30 days, I can no longer return it! Wahhhh!

Pros
  • works just like oem just paid a lot less!!
Cons
  • Inconsistencies in the product's design can make installation a frustrating experience

Worked initially but need to revise as 2 months after install it has already failed. What a shame as it worked smoothly and correctly for the first 2 months. Guess it was too good to be true. Gearing internal failed today and back to where I was before. Noise of the gear skipping is actually worse than the OEM Honda part that was in there before.- 21 June update. Removed and replaced with different unit. Disassembled and found broken gear tooth on main rotational gear. Bottom line, cheap…

Pros
  • Perfect oem fit, a little crazy to replace but it got done.
Cons
  • Poor customer support

OEM Equivalent Part

I was concerned about the quality of this product because it was much cheaper than the Honda genuine part ($50) and the DuraLast ($70) part offered through Autozone. What I received appeared to be identical as the part I removed from my 2003 Honda Pilot. Except for the manufacuring dates, the parts appear to be identical and once installed it worked just fine.

Pros
  • Easy installation, perfect match for the original equipment.
Cons
  • Issues with wiring can lead to complicated installation process

Purchased same product twice

Purchased this to replace the driver's side door lock actuator. It worked fine for about 10 months and we began having the same problems again. Reordered it and have recently replaced it. Will see if the issue is just with the previous part or this brand.

Pros
  • Worked perfectly for my Drivers door on my 2002 Honda CRV EX
Cons
  • Product can be easily damaged in rough handling during shipping

Exact replacement for 7th gen 2 door civic

Replacement requires a few basic hand tools and some flexibility. The only difficult part is disconnecting the rod linkage to the outside door handle. In theory you can pry the rod out carefully but it was taking too much force for my taste. You can just disconnect the rest of the rods / window track fairly easily and pull the entire assembly just into view. Remove the screw on the hold down plate and you should be able to replace the actuator without much of a problem.

Pros
  • The HOTSYSTEM Honda Accord Civic CR-V Element Odyssey Pilot Acura RSX Front Left Driver Side Power Door Lock Actuator is very easy to use once installed, ensuring that your vehicle is secure and safe
Cons
  • The cable connecting the actuator can be prone to breaking or fraying

Works fine, no problem, fits right in

The replacement solenoid works great. It was simple [enough] to replace, if you are a DIY type person. It fit right in and worked immediately. Saved me $300+ I would have spent to a garage. It has been working well since installed - 2 months.

Pros
  • Fixed the power lock for the Pilot. Not the easiest product to install, but did the job.
Cons
  • Can be difficult to install properly

Operation is fine so far

I finally got around to installing this item on my Acura RSX. Installation went smooth with no issues. Operation is fine so far. Seems just as good as an OEM Honda part for less money.

Pros
  • The actuator is engineered to meet or exceed OEM specifications, ensuring that it provides reliable and consistent results
Cons
  • May lead to premature wear and tear on your door key

Right part, difficult install

The part is accurate for the front drivers side door for a 2007 Honda Odyssey. Installing it was a pain. Be careful pulling the rods from the handle and do. Not. Break. the clips holding them in.

Pros
  • Esay to instal and fits to honda pilot 2003 back door driver side
Cons
  • The actuator doesn't always open the door as smoothly as it should

. the REAR DOOR of a 1993 Pilot - works like a charm

Bought this for the REAR DOOR of a 1993 Pilot - works like a charm. I would recommend using an impact driver (buy a combo impact and drill set from HomeDepot or Lowes for $99 - makes the job of getting those three screws out simple - be sure to have the right screw bit - i believe it is a #3 phillips)

Pros
  • Replacement Parts
Cons
  • The actuator's performance declines over time

Quality Product at an Excellent Price

I purchased this Door Lock Actuator to repair my wife's 2004 Honda CR-V. The Honda dealer's price quote for the part and the labor were extremely high. With a little diagnostic and repair help from a couple of YouTube videos, I was able to do the repair myself and save about $300. The actuator assembly fit perfectly and now the door locks and unlocks just like new.

Pros
  • Perfect part for my wife's 2008 Honda Element SC. Easy installl for anyone savy with tools.
Cons
  • May cause security issues if not installed correctly

so far so good! UPDATE:3/13/18

my 03 Pilot EX driver door lock stopped responding so the fob basically only locked 3 of the doors remotely and didn't activate the alarm. I took apart the door wondering if the gears went bad on the lock mech or a rod slipped loose but after inspection and lithium grease, it was likely the actuator was the culprit. So here it is:Pros- same dimensions, no issues with fitment- did not feel light cheap and fragile, actually not too bad at all. Don't think I'd notice it wasn't Genuine OEM…

Pros
  • Took hours to replace, but restored the locks in the driver-side door of my 2003 RSX.
Cons
  • May cause the car alarm to go off unintentionally
