Description of Hankook Tire Ventus S1 Evo 2 SUV K117A 315/35 R20 110Y summer

New impressive models for premium SUVs and crossovers - Korean summer tires Hankook Ventus S1 evo2 K117A SUV. Even the most experienced and capricious motorists will not be able to find fault with the optimal balance of performance, both on dry and wet summer surfaces. They easily combine fuel efficiency and acoustic comfort, with the windows closed you will not hear the movement of the wheels on the gravel. The tire received excellent performance thanks to a high-performance silicon rubber compound and a tread pattern with many active components. Location of tread elements • A wide steel breaker is located on the tread, which improves handling. The frame with a steel belt and a strong cord retains the original shape of the rubber when the load increases or when cornering. • Reinforces the tire with a high-density carcass made of durable polyester/viscose. • Longitudinal drainage grooves look simple but do a very good job of guiding water out of the contact patch. Grooves with inclined sidewalls have several functions - the absence of sharp corners eliminates water turbulence, and the recesses at the bottom improve water resistance. Moreover, when water is removed from the tread due to round recesses in the shoulder area, rolling resistance is reduced and traction is improved. High Silica CompoundA new generation of silica is polymeric components and elastic natural oils that increase the stability and performance of rubber at the cellular level. Polymers significantly improve wear parameters.

A completely ordinary product, nothing remarkable.

I bought this rubber because it just entered the market and was not expensive. Now, having received the right to be installed from the factory on Audi and BMW, including the premium segment, the price has risen significantly, but the quality has not become better. Behaves like a normal stock - expensive and bespontovo.

Pros
  • A good average. On the new one, immediately after installation, it is quiet and soft, over time it becomes a little noisier. In fairness, I’ll say that there were no hernias, there were no punctures, the balancing did not float, the cord did not break, and they did not lose the shape of a circle.
Cons
  • Very low mileage. I didn’t pay attention when I was warned, but my wife wore the wheels to a bald state for 30 tkm on the VW Touareg NF, although she drives in a very calm mode. In the same mode, the regular Bridgestone Dueller passed 60 tkm with her. The wear is very uniform, the wheel alignment did not reveal any significant deviations.

Best price for this product, will buy more!

The first experience of driving on Korean rubber, before that, for 20 years, I traveled mainly on famous brands. Tucson Turbo car, rubber was in stock, so I expected to throw it out in 1-2 seasons. But no, honestly drove off for 3 seasons without a single cut and puncture. The overall impression is 4+. I drive fast. On the highway up to 180 km / h I walked on it, I didn’t notice any yaws, it keeps the road perfectly. In general, I left a very good impression. In the photo, the condition of…

Pros
  • Resource - left completely 3 seasons (mileage 50 thousand +) without cuts and punctures. No complaints about handling and dynamic characteristics: acceleration, braking, maneuvers. I did not notice the noise - but I made the soundproofing of the car)
Cons
  • Perhaps things are not ideal with rutting, especially if you get into them in heavy rain, but sanity should be present in any case.

Total disappointment, the product is terrible.

Worst tire in 15+ years of experience. It throws out of the rut so that you can hardly catch the car. Those who sat down behind the wheel of a car for the first time are generally frightened as if by an accident. But this is half the trouble. The most important thing is that the rubber has worn off to zero in a season and a half. It's the first time I meet this. And not to the indicator, but to the cord. Mileage less than 20k. The wheel costs 10k and dies in a season. Is this a bad joke?

Pros
  • Missing
Cons
  • Instant wear, throws out of the rut

I put it on a Mercedes GL-500 275 * 50 R20, I liked the handling, it keeps the road well in the rain, it doesn’t go through the mud at all. The worst thing is that I drove only about 20,000 km and the back is bald completely to zero in front of a little alive (((. In short, the rubber , how many cars have I seen such rubber wear for the first time. DO NOT buy.

Think carefully before you buy this product

After reading laudatory reviews and tests of various automotive publications, I purchased a kit 275/45/20. Made in Korea, all things. Everything was balanced well, on the go it was also worthy, the directional stability is excellent, the comfort in motion. Disappointment overtook when I accidentally looked at the tread depth on the rear wheel (so why would I look at it after 2 months of use? ), And there is already wear to the indicator. As a result, for 15000km 2 rear wheels at 0, front 1mm to

Pros
  • Pretty quiet, comfortable tire. The price is slightly lower than competitors.
Cons
  • Resource 15000km

The product can be used, I expected a little more.

All in all, I regretted my choice. After driving on the highway, I noticed a vibration in the steering wheel. Having visited a tire shop for balancing, it turned out that one balloon was slightly curved. No matter how you balance it, there is still a slight vibration. I turned to the seller (blacktyres. Ru), where I was offered to come and give them one wheel for examination and wait no one knows how long. Those. while there is an examination, I need to ride on three wheels. I call the…

Pros
  • Quiet, comfortable. At the time of purchase was not very expensive in this size.
Cons
  • I traveled for two seasons (~ 20 thousand km) and there is almost no rubber. Remaining stock for the season maximum. Rubber only for asphalt, After the rain stuck in the middle of the field on the wet grass.

I put on the Hyundai IX35, after the regular Hankuk Optimo 415, the new tires are quieter. ++++++++ So I dashed off almost 5000 km on these tires. On dry and wet pavement showed itself from the best side. A strong sidewall, tenacious, goes well along the track, but this is due to the width, I have a narrow 225 \ 55 \ 18. Pretty quiet, but on very rough pavement there is a slight discomfort, but absolutely not critical.

Pros
  • Soft, quiet, rolled only on dry pavement.
Cons
  • Haven't revealed yet.

I use in size 275/45 r19 on touareg gp 3.0 tdi, before that I had yokohama. So that's the difference between heaven and earth. The biggest plus is that I stopped flying out of the rut, and now I'm going without noticing it. The car is much quieter, the furious rigidity at each joint or hole has disappeared. In the corners, the hankook is just as good as the previous rubber and the wear has become humane. Before that, I myself was skeptical about Korean rubber, now I recommend it.

Pros
  • Soft, quiet, excellent coasting, taxiing, both on dry and wet pavement, is excellent.
Cons
  • No

Mediocre goods, most likely I will not use.

The main problem is cornering drift. On dry asphalt. In the wet - in general, I recommend throwing speed significantly (40-50km / h edge). I began to under-inflate the tires - it became better. Aquaplaning at its finest! Well, everyone writes about wear resistance almost the same way. I rolled up from Hong Kong to Yalta and back, a month in the city and that's all . bald as a knee. Although we must pay tribute: a bunch of cuts, but not a single puncture. And I'm at the metal base on it every…

Pros
  • Really quiet, not a single puncture for the season (with complete baldness)
Cons
  • It doesn’t hold a track, it floats on wet pavement, it takes out in corners at speeds of over 80 km / h, in one season it has turned from a new state into a completely bald state from the word.

Departure last season about 25000km over the summer. I have an x5 sport package r20. I went to Hong Kong and back to St. Petersburg 5.5tkm. There and back 150-190 km / h, then to Hong Kong. The summer was hot and the wear should have been more serious at such speeds and temperatures, but the tires survived) In St. Petersburg, too, in the summer, 70% of the highway, also at an average speed of 130 km / h. This season, again, wear on them for 25,000 km was about 25%, as there was a 8mm tread left

Pros
  • Good handling even in the downpour and in a rut. Strong enough. The resource is above average.
Cons
  • Technical did not reveal. But I don’t respect the brand, I bought it because of the low price and for the sake of the experiment.
