My original fan was intermittent, it would slow down and sometimes even stop until I hit a bump, after which it would turn back on at full speed. I thought it was a bad connection but there was more than 12 volts across the terminals and the fan was running slowly. This part worked great and was easy to fit, 5 bolts for the glove box and 3 for the engine, there was a small clip on the connector that had to be pushed on one of the short sides to release it. It is also necessary to break off part of the floor panel to slide out the glove box assembly. I believe the 3 motor screws are screwed into the plastic so be careful not to tear it off. Update 5/2014: Worked fine for about 6 months, then intermittently became like the original, so costs about $7/month, cheap enough to order another one. Downgraded to 3 stars. I could not find the length nor how to replace it under warranty.
