I bought this because I kept seeing ads for paint by number kits. Overall I am very satisfied with this product. I believe the measurements describe the painting, so the canvas itself is larger because it has a border. This comes in handy when you want to install it or something like that. The canvas is also quite thick and better quality than some of the other paint by numbers I've seen. However, even after careful ironing, I had problems removing wrinkles. I also noticed that the paint colors don't quite match the photo. Normally that wouldn't be a problem, but the colors that should have been lilac and burgundy were pink instead. Because of this, the picture looked a lot pinker than the photo. I ended up blending some of my own colors to fix this. I also had trouble painting over the numbers as some of the colors are quite thin. However, there was more than enough color for each of the colors. Overall this is a good paint by number kit. It comes with everything you need and will keep you busy for hours. If you have acrylic paint at home, I recommend swapping out some of the jars that came with it.
