Very simple (standard) recessed lighting. They have a nice low profile - I have an original mid-century modern house with a 2x8 flat roof and I was able to install them and still get 2 inches of closed cell foam on top. Closed-cell foam is sprayed around them. This, combined with GU10 LED bulbs, and these IC banks never protected us from overheating. 3 inch cans definitely don't produce much light so make sure you calculate the appropriate wattage to get the right amount of light for your space. We selected the Halo Recessed 3011TBZBB 3" 15 Degree Antique Bronze Finish to finish these and they look great, both the finish and the light pattern.
