08/13/2019 - I originally bought this in 2017 for one of our TVs. Did it work so well that I completely forgot about it until I started listening to Pops yesterday? I checked everything, I thought it was bad, but I was wrong. The USB adapter I was using failed, not this device. I replaced the defective one with a spare I had and all was well again. In conclusion, we can say that this device has proven to be very reliable. I totally recommend it to my family or friends. Many new televisions only have one digital audio output. If, like me, you have traditional wired speakers or want to use headphones, you're out of luck. I tried another similar product a few years ago but it didn't work. It is USB powered and based on the reviews I had high hopes and was not disappointed. Our Samsung TV now has both digital and analogue capabilities.
