Not all clasps close

I really like these boxes. Today I added them to the shelf in my cabin and have already received several compliments! The problem is that with two boxes, some of the latches won't close. Luckily there aren't two bars on one side, so the boxes keep their shape. I have other smaller containers or hard molded items in the corners to keep them stable. They keep my personal belongings out of sight but look very nice on an open shelf. However, I think if you pay $20 for three plastic boxes they should all close as intended.
