Review on Accolmile Electric Bike Bell Alarm: Waterproof, Anti-Theft Horn w/ Remote, USB Rechargeable by Justin Peck

Horn/Motion Detector Very Poorly Made Part

My Favorite Feature – The Accolmile rechargeable horn has a motion sensor that activates the horn. For some reason it is listed as a bell in the ad. It also works as a horn via a wired button. The first horn I received was defective. He changed the volume (less loud) depending on how oriented he was. It rattled too, something was dangling inside. The volume is not adjustable. In terms of volume, it's louder than most horns and bells, but not as loud as the Zound horn. The motion sensor works perfectly and can deter thieves. It comes with two remote controls, easy to read and operate. It took 5.5 hours to fully charge the horn and I noticed that this horn also has a rattle. It also has a different mount than the one shown in the ad. If you have a regular sized steering column or handlebar they will fit fine, but if the size is 1" or less then thick spacers will be required. Routing the horn button was easy and had quite a long wire. The button is attached to the steering wheel with silicone tape and moves slightly when pressed. The Accolmile horn looks like a motorcycle horn and is heavier than most horns or bells. It has a very thin metal bracket and detracts from the sturdy appearance. The big problem for me is that the horn is bolted to the vehicle and has to be unbolted to charge. The charging cable is only 36 inches long. I don't think I would recommend this horn to a friend as the first horn was defective and the hardware in both horns is loose. Update July 3, 2021 Summer started today. The metal bracket is broken. This horn is very brittle and the metal is cracked rendering the horn/alarm clock unusable. I am only giving it one star and it is misleading as one might get the impression that this horn is worth buying. I made a bracket out of a thin sheet of metal. It's thin but better than the original. Update August 1, 2021: I did 3 short rides with the horn and it had an issue. The sounds are hoarse and intermittent. The battery life is a joke. The ad says it will beep 2,000 times before needing to be recharged. I doubt I even had 50.
