Review on Toddleroo by North States Superyard: 8 Panel Baby Play Yard, Easy Travel with Carrying Strap, Sand Color, 34.4 sq. ft. by Judy King

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I'm an engineer and I rate this product 5/5. Excellent work!

I bought this so my 1 year old wouldn't climb on kitchen chairs and then stand on them lol. That works great. Now my child is safe from climbing on unsafe objects. The gate is high enough that he cannot climb over it, even if he brings something to stand next to the gate it will still be too difficult to climb over. I also love that he has so many holes to look through so he knows he's on the other side and doesn't have to worry about not being able to see who "disappears" when they do cross him. The gate is amazingly stable and I suggest you arrange it in the shape of an octagon rather than a star. You need corners at every point, don't keep the two panels straight or this section will become a bit flexible and less stable. But the octagon gives you the most space inside. Try completing the gate as well. I found that the joints can be reversible, so you can make the same octagon by flipping all the joints. In one orientation, all panels are curved (slightly curved). In the reverse orientation, the plates are all straight and don't flex at all. I think you want it to be like this - if they are straight, no loops. It got better, more like it should be. Also, the included pads are great if you're using them indoors on vinyl or a similar smooth floor. Glue two to the bottom of each panel, near the joints, and when you put this thing on you'll feel it stick to the floor and not slide at all. I'm glad you thought about it. Don't be afraid of loud popping noises when opening/closing your joints. Just push/pull with a lot of force and it's good. It helps if the upper and lower joints are at exactly the same angle; Sometimes it's easy to misalign them slightly. Make sure they line up to maximize joint strength. All in all worth every penny and will likely last for years.
