but it's a good replacement

I ordered this product because my family and I spend quite a bit of time at the lake, beach and even water parks and since we always have our smartphones with us I thought , it would be wise to buy something to protect our electronics. After opening the product and reading the insert, I was confident that the seller really recommended testing the product with a paper towel, which is what I planned to do from the start. So, as suggested on the packaging, I tested my waterproof phone case by putting a paper towel inside, sealing it, and then soaking the whole thing in water for 30 minutes. I digressed at the end, so he was actually submerged for about an hour. Here's what I found when I checked my wipe: Pros: * There was no condensation in the plastic bag and the wipe looked dry on the outside of the case (see image below). * The case itself had no negative side effects from being immersed in water for such a long period of time. The appearance of the case has not been affected. Cons:* Upon opening the case, I found some water in the plastic latches at the top, which means water got inside the case but didn't get inside the case. The "sealed" part where the phone is attached (see image below).* When removing the phone, you must ensure that the entire outer and inner part of the plastic fastener is completely dry, otherwise you will always still risk getting the phone electronics wet. (see image of paper towel below with wet stain). Keep in mind that I'm not deducting a star for that alone, as technically the paper towel was mostly dry and a drop of water isn't usually enough to damage the phone. As for the case itself and the types of phones it fits. , I was pleasantly surprised to find that both my husband's iPhone 6 and my Sony Xperia Z3 fit into a waterproof phone case while our bulky protective cases were still in place. The only downside is that while this waterproof case advertises that the touchscreen can still be used while the phone is inside, I've found that this depends on the type of screen protector you're currently using. I currently only have a thin protective film and can still use the touchscreen if I make slow gestures and apply a little more pressure. My husband, on the other hand, uses a tempered glass screen protector, and while inside this waterproof case I had to constantly gesture for the screen to register. I believe that someone who uses a case with a built-in plastic screen protector will also have difficulty using the phone while it is in this waterproof case. Obviously, this is all because there are too many layers of protection between you and the phone, but this should be taken into account. In conclusion, I would like to say that you must be careful when placing and removing your phone from this waterproof case. There are small plastic snaps that you have to slide your phone in between to put it in the sealed part and I could see that this can scratch your screen if you're not careful. There's also a built-in compass in the case, but a) it's small and b) it feels a bit tacky, so you'll have to be patient. I wouldn't rely on the built-in compass as the only navigation device, but it's a good fallback. Overall, I'm relatively happy with this purchase. I won't be submerging my phone in the case unless absolutely necessary, but it's nice to know that even in the event of an accident there's now a decent layer of protection to protect my electronics!
