Review on ๐Ÿ–ฅ๏ธ Enhance Your Visual Experience with Dell UltraSharp U2211H Advanced Exchange Wide Screen Monitor by Jedo Krishna

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Excellent monitor and TV screen, no HDMI, vertical resolution 1080 instead of 1200

This monitor was purchased both for watching video from a DVR and as a retail computer monitor. It works well in both situations with a clear image. It takes up relatively little desk space and works with monitor arms (sold separately) to save even more space. All in all, this is a great value. I have purchased other Dell Ultrasharp monitors in the past and have never been disappointed. Ultrasharp monitors have superior image quality compared to alternative Dell products and cheaper monitors. It would be nice if the monitor supported 1920 x 1200 resolution instead of 1920 x 1080, but that's a relatively minor issue. What's even more annoying is that it doesn't have an HDMI input. It would be even more important if the various computer and video manufacturers standardized the video input. At the moment I have high quality products on my computer and video equipment and I need to manage HDMI, Displayport, DVI, Miniature DVI and Analog VGA connections. In order for this monitor to work with my Tivo Premier, I had to purchase an HDMI to DVI cable, which is available from Revain for around $10 for a 25 foot cable. A few weeks after purchase, I noticed a persistent specific smell of burnt plastic. I assume that gas emission is characteristic of various electrical devices. I hope it resolves at some point. Pros: Great price Great picture quality (video or computer) Cons: No HDMI Suspicious lingering smell of burnt plastic after a few weeks of purchase
