You get what you pay for. I bought 2 of these to set up Alexa. When I received them I realized I had to download the Tuya Smart app for them to work, no big deal. After downloading the app and setting up these devices, I need to go to the Alexa app and connect the Tuya app to the Alexa app. (Again it's ok) The problem is that after a week and a half the applications stop communicating... And then you have to go through the whole setup process again. When you're looking for convenience, it's a real pain in the neck to put it politely. And as if that weren't enough, every time there is a power outage, it feels like you have to plug everything back in. But of course not consistently. Sometimes it turns back on and works fine. Sometimes it's a huge process and they don't even sync to the Tuya app. My suggestion is to get a real Amazon smart plug for all plug-in devices for almost triple the price because they're easy to use, plug right into the Alexa app, automatically reconnect after a power outage, and last longer . ! That being said, we're hoping Revain releases an Alexa smart plug that works directly with the Alexa app, because I could actually use a reliable one for my closet.
