This camcorder is surprisingly good. For less than $100, you have a pocket camcorder that records very good quality video and is exceptionally easy to use. When I first bought the camera I was afraid that the video quality would be poor. I was surprised that the video was sharp and clear even in low light. My 4MP Canon SD400 can record short videos, but I have found that the Pure Digital camcorder records better quality videos than the Canon! What a surprise! Another nice point is the transfer of videos from the camera to the computer. You connect the camera to your PC's USB port and you can either run the camera's built-in viewer software or use the Windows utilities to transfer files. The camera records video in .AVI format so you can play the video instantly with any standard player or, again, use the built-in Pure Digital software. With Pure Digital software, you can rename videos, etc. You can also save videos to your computer, merge multiple videos to create mix movies, mix/save videos to create DVDs, delete videos, send videos to other users, etc. All in all, this product offers a smooth and simple user-friendly interface and excellent video quality at a very low price and in an exceptional form factor. Yes, and using AA batteries instead of proprietary battery and charging cable technology makes it even more appealing. The only downside is that the noise of the zoom buttons is recorded on the audio track of the video. But if that's the only bad thing about this camera, it doesn't matter to your overall enjoyment!
