They are comfortable, can sit on the hips, wear them lower or even higher, they also cover the thighs, the whole back and the stomach if pull them up a bit. They have panties inside, are adjustable with drawstrings and adjust to size. I have 10/12 jeans, I bought the big ones for my hips/thighs and they fit perfectly, not too loose or tight, very flattering (I would NEVER say that!). I will use them for kayaking and swimming. I wanted a higher butt with a bikini top so my stomach could get some sun without exposing my stomach and thighs, you women get it!
