Check the toy for manufacturing defects
I found this very sharp plastic edge on one of the stacking rings. Luckily I was playing with my kid after sanitizing the new packaging and found this bug. Otherwise I can imagine that my child would scratch at this sharp plastic edge. I asked for this toy to be replaced. Hope there weren't any flaws. Therefore, please always check the toy before giving it to your child!
