I bought these to replace a waffle weave towel I got from a "green" retailer. I have long, thick, curly hair, so the size is important. This towel is just right. The only downside is that it soaks through pretty quickly, so it's obviously getting the water out of my hair but I suspect it "fills up" and doesn't get as much as it might. I think it would be just fine for an average head of hair, though. I didn't knock much off my stars because this is really a "me" problem, and not a big issue with the product itself.
