Review on 🚴 Ultrawall Trunk Bike Rack Car Carrier: Securely Transport 3 Bikes on SUVs, Sedans, Hatchbacks, and Minivans by Ronnie Saylor

FOR OTHERS' SAFETY, DO NOT BUY!

To give you a backstory, my family and I have been in San Diego for four months and while we were here we decided to buy bikes to enjoy the boardwalk. We had to move so I needed some sort of trunk to transport the bikes and since we hadn't left the bikes on the way home I decided to go with a shorter term cheaper solution like this. Received the rack on Wednesday and was due to move the next day on Thursday. I tested it on the car this Wednesday night and when I put the bike on it for the first time, the red parts that attach the straps bent and broke. It also caused several "breaks" in the form of vulnerabilities in him. Remember, this was on a 26 inch men's mountain bike. Then I put my wife's 24 inch bike in it and it damaged my car. The hooks bent the metal on the SUV's hatch. IT NEVER HAPPENED, I wouldn't even try to put a third one on. I didn't even dare to mount my daughter's small 16 inch bike, so I took it apart and put it in our pannier on top of the car. I thought it was just for a move and not for long term use and not for long distances. I was frustrated with the damage and thought I'd return it once the move was complete because it's a terrible product that couldn't handle what it was advertised. Now Thursday is here and it's time to move. I've owned it for less than 24 hours so far. We load and set off. About 50 miles to get tethered. It happened in a car with two bikes. We were JUST pulling off the freeway, for which we are very grateful, when the seat belts snapped and the entire trunk carrying both bikes rolled all the way down the ramp at 60mph. My heart stopped. I didn't know what to do, I had to stop the car, run over, grab both bikes and the trunk and run to get out of the traffic. I dropped everything to the side of the road, donned my safety shields and sat down, defeated. My worst fears about using this cheap POS have come true. All we could think was THANK YOU MAKE THIS HAPPEN ON THE HIGHWAY. Motorways are severely damaged! In San Diego where everyone's driving 80+ miles an hour and everyone's screwed, so if it happened literally 30 seconds early on the mainline, we could do thousands of damages and potentially cause serious injuries. Keep in mind that it has been less than 24 hours since you received it from Revain and traveled less than 100 miles with only 2 bikes, each weighing less than 50 pounds. That's one bike less than advertised and 40 pounds lighter than claimed to be able to safely carry. To end this long story. DO NOT USE THIS ARTICLE. Even if it only happens to 1 in 100 customers, there's no risk in saving $100 on buying the best quality. Low price comes with high risk. I would feel terrible if I cause a serious accident because I wanted to save money on the bike rack selection, even if I only needed it for a day. Please consider this review when looking at it. As dramatic as it sounds, it can save lives. I had to go through a very stressful and chaotic event, but I hope you don't. Please look at things like this. This is not a cheap item.
