Review on Vornado VH202 Personal Space Heater by Michael Patilla

Second update: The new Vornado heater is already making clicking noises. I'm not sure what's up with Vornado's quality control, but the VH202 has an incredible failure rate. How can a heater that sits on my desk and never moves fail so often? Update: I contacted Vornado about the issue and they sent me a brand new VH202. Vornado's customer service seems to genuinely care about their customers. However, I will admit that I wish the product I originally bought had lasted longer. The delivery of the heater took only a few working days. It currently sits on my desk and works great. Thank you Vornado! ------ This is the third Vornado VH202 heater that I have purchased. The first died after 3 years, the second is excellent, my wife uses it often. However, the third one, which sits on my desk and never moves, has problems. Previously, the fan blades spun without touching anything inside the case. Now when I turn on the heater, the fan blades scratch the front grille and make an awful noise. Sometimes the noise disappears after starting. I assume the blades are balanced and moving away from the grill. However, sometimes the fan blades continue to make noise until I turn the device off and on again. I've had a six Vornado fan/heater combo for the last 4-5 years. A year ago, the cable of a parking heater got so hot that the plug melted a little. Now this desktop has problems, various problems, but problems nonetheless. I hope Vornado will improve the quality of their products as more and more products have problems.
