My boy loved this cat bed as soon as it was unpacked! He didn't even examine the box it was in and climbed straight into bed! It only weighs 8.5 pounds, but it's long and tall, and this cool suitcase has plenty of room. The pillow must also be very comfortable, because he rarely kneads, but he began to knead almost immediately. I've had him for a few months now and it's still one of his favorite spots. I love the look - the loose open weave is unusual and interesting. The frame is strong but concealed by braiding, allowing the 'basket' to retain its whimsical appearance. Resin fabric feels silky smooth - much, much better than real fabric. The open weave allows the cat to see everything and I can easily see him. Since the bed is very strong, I attached it to the wall with metal ties, making sure they were attached to the post. Now he can climb, rest and watch his kingdom from above! Oh, the new kitten likes that too, but he likes to climb up.
