Unfortunately, this product only seems to have covered the smell for a short time. The scent is back with a vengeance. I literally drenched the carpet with this product but unfortunately the smell lingered. I was desperate and found a video on YouTube that talked about using enzymatic cleaners to eliminate cat pee odor. This is one of the cleaners recommended in the video. The price is right so I bought it once thinking it wouldn't work. However, this is so. I literally used a $3 Walmart turkey syringe to inject the solution into my carpet. I also sprayed a ton of area with the product. The product smells strong at first. I literally got a headache. BUT it worked. After two days the smell is almost gone. I applied another layer. The smell was gone the next day. I was not paid to review this item. Listen to me when I tell you that my cat literally pissed all over my carpet. I did not remove the small newly formed stain. This was where my cat would urinate constantly for a long period of time. I almost had to replace the carpet. Trust me when I tell you that this product really helped get rid of the smell. Has nothing to do with stains, but works magic on odors.
