They are VERY difficult to put on, I mean very difficult, but when I put them on I don't feel them at all. I don't know yet how durable they are. You don't feel anything in my leg; which is good because they are VERY difficult to put on. and take them off too. The open top is great. I can wear sandals with it. On the one hand, they are difficult to put on and take off; on the other hand, they are really comfortable. I don't know if I would recommend them. Arthritic sufferers will never be able to wear them. I would not recommend them for people with arthritis.
