Just got back from a week long trip to Kauai and have used this bad guy underwater, in the rain, in the mud and I have to say it was awesome. I consider buying this camera to be buying tools from Harbor Freight. If they stand up to the current job, then that's a lot. With heavy use, I'd use the GoPro all day, but for $76 plus a memory card, this thing is flawless. Any issues we had are mitigated by the low cost. Buy with confidence but be sure to research 32-64GB cards. I put in a 128GB card because Revain recommended it. It worked but I had some bugs and thought all my videos got deleted because they didn't show up on the camera. Luckily I returned home and they were all there. The image and video quality is excellent. Extreme close-ups suck because you can't control the focus. All photos will be in wide-angle fisheye format, which I really liked, but may not be for everyone. Advantages: 1. The price is not only cheap but also profitable. At this price I consider it pretty disposable.2. The picture/video quality is amazing for the price. You can change the settings a bit and the picture will be blurry underwater, you can't control the focus, but I liked the picture quality3. Underwater ship - worked great. It would fog up if I left moisture on it after cleaning. The camera also got very hot inside the case, so be careful.4. Accessories - lots of mounts, two batteries, charger, case, remote control - excellent quality and most of them very useful.5. Application. Although bulky and not very intuitive, the WiFi worked great. You can connect the camera to your phone and use the remote control to take pictures off camera while browsing your phone. Uploading was clumsy but I was able to send a picture from the app even though part of the app was in Chinese. Again for the price I would say excellent value for money. Cons: 1. Batteries take up a lot of time - Taking pictures is fine, but videos suck battery life. Again, two batteries were included for the money, which made it bearable, but I swear the video cuts the battery life down to 20 minutes. I managed with two batteries but I had some frustrations about it.2. plastic container. The blue and black plastic has started to delaminate a bit. It looks like it's falling off a fish scale. It didn't affect performance but was just cheap and weird.3. Cheap materials - it only took me a week but everything went well. It seems cheap but it is very light4. Keys. Cycling through camera modes and settings is a bit annoying, and I've often found myself shooting rather than photographing. It will take time, but not too bad once you get the hang of it. memory card. I received a 128GB Sandisk card which caused some problems. I believe 32-64GB cards are the max. I had card reading errors and all my videos "disappeared" from the camera. The app also stopped counting the number of new photos I took, but the memory was still filling up. I think it was some kind of compatibility issue and a mistake on my part, but all my videos and photos were there when I started uploading. A little stressful. I've added some videos/photos from my trip so you can get an idea. Buy with confidence, if unsure, just buy a guarantee.
