You cannot write on the label with a ballpoint pen, ink pen or any other pen.

What good is a gift tag if the material from which it is made does not allow to write who it is and to whom? The gift tag is made of plastic-coated glossy paper. I used 3 different types of pens to write this and basically glided across the surface with no ink absorbing material. All three pens worked fine on other surfaces. return it as it is unusable for creating gifts.
