It's a hell of a tool. I used it to hold the flexplate in place while tightening the crankshaft bolt while the engine was in the car. Raised the car on one side of the jack. When I placed this tool on the flexible plate with the handle on the concrete, the tool stayed in place and rested on the garage floor while I applied 165 ft-lbs of torque to the crankshaft bolt. There were no scratches on the instrument. This eliminates the need to squeeze things into the holes in the flexplate. An absolute must when doing heavier engine work.
