Pretty nasty, but certainly not terrible.
For the price, these shoes live up to my expectations - they're not very premium by any means, but you get what you pay multiple times for and they were about what I expected. EXCEPT. The smell from the box was toxic and smelled like they had just been heavily varnished and I could pass out (or get high the wrong way) from continued inhalation of shoe fumes. Went back for sure.
