Good video and photos. Some problems with accessories. The macro lens makes this product stand out

I received this item through the Amazon Vine program. Here's my unbiased review: Overall I'd say the camcorder works well and I have nothing to complain about. It takes good pictures and videos, is compact, light weight and has all the features I need for quick and easy high quality videos with little investment. The macro lens makes this camera good for applications like blogging, where you can get a good headshot from a comfortable distance. IR and other functions are useful. [Camcorder] Build Quality: The camcorder itself is very beautiful and lightweight. The build quality is very good, no flaws or poor molding, loose screws etc. The overall exterior is a combination of plastic and metal, which is done very well. I feel like a quality camera. However, the retractable LCD screen is all plastic and is a bit thicker than camcorders that cost 4-5 times more than this model. All in all, this is a well-made camcorder. Optics: As long as you have the right lighting, the videos and pictures on this camera are really good. Be sure to turn up the image quality (this is the lowest default setting for some reason) (As with any camera, you'll get grainy shots if you're in low light and have auto exposure on) is used for menu functions as well as the touchscreen. Everything works well, the touch screen is very practical and the menu is simplified depending on the mode. There is a dedicated video capture button. on the back of the camera, which works well, and a camera shutter button on the top that doubles as a "Select" button in the menu. Basically I can say that everything works well and as expected here, except for the following points: 1) Remote: The IR sensor is in front of the camera. Unfortunately, if you use a macro lens, it completely covers the IR sensor and you cannot use the remote control. 2) To take a picture, you need to select one of the modes specifically for taking pictures. In other words, when you press the shutter button on top of the camera, no picture is taken when you're in camcorder mode. Similarly, the video capture thumb button on the back does not capture video in Image mode.) 3) The default mode is camcorder mode, and the camera defaults to that mode when you turn it on, regardless of the previous mode in 4) None Features available in webcam mode (video over USB) 5) Closing the video screen face-in always turns off the camera. (even if the display is already off) If you rotate the screen 180 and fold it face down, it won't turn off. This feature can be good or bad depending on your needs. It's a bit frustrating when using this as a webcam, however, but great for most use cases. [As a webcam] Class: A Connection to a PC via USB works well. If you do this, you will lose all functions of the camera menu and you will not be able to close the camera door. [As a Wi-Fi Camera] Rating: Unknown. You can turn on the Wi-Fi hotspot and use a variety of apps to connect to the camera. I have not tested this feature and do not intend to use it. However, I tried to test it, but I wasn't comfortable installing any of the apps I found on the App Store due to privacy concerns. [Macro lens] Class: Looks like professional optics and delivers good pictures. However, be careful when removing as the metal case can be unscrewed. I don't know if that's typical of a basic non-zoom macro lens, but I've never seen anything like it [Lens hoods] Rating: C Both lens hoods don't look very high quality Plastic or molded parts Macro lens is not attached to the macro lens. The smaller one seemed to have a lot of extra threads, but this allowed the IR sensor to be used with the cover attached. [External Free USB Card Reader] Class: A or F? Works well on a PC with a USB 2.0 connection. Port and transmission at around 20 MB/s. For some reason I had problems with this second laptop, it never seemed to transfer properly and froze. This laptop only has USB 3.0. [Microphone] Class: AH. Has its own battery, works well (mic port is next to HDMI and charging port). [More Info] Behind the video screen's sliding door are 5 dedicated buttons: Power, IR, Mode Menu, and Display. The power turns the camera on and off when the screen is opened. IR switches the camera to night vision mode (turns on the infrared illumination and the image becomes black and white). Mode: Enters the mode selection screen (see below). Menu: Brings up the current mode menu for setting parameters such as resolution, quality, exposure, etc. Modes: Recording: Camcorder. Recording: camera. Flash: continuous shooting. : View saved images
