So guys here's what I found. I am using this product to run HDMI 10ft over RG6 from a DirecTV HR24 receiver to my back bedroom TV. Installation was absolute hell. During testing, I got good video from the BluRay player, but nothing from the DirecTV set-top box. That was until I read the instructions. The smallest print states that the product supports 480p, 576p, 720p and 1080p. Guess what's missing from all of this? Do you understand! SUPPORTED. After I set the DirecTV receiver to ONLY show progressive video, it came online and looked fine. At this point, as others have said, the video was a bit dark, but that was easy to adjust. One more note about the DirecTV receiver. This HR24, with no 1080p video and with 1080i disabled, defaults to 720p, it will not be upscaled to 1080p so with this unit and a DirecTV receiver you are effectively limited to 720p unless 1080p source material is available . Also let me mention that these observations are from day one, I have no information on longevity.
