I bought this cable to connect my iPod Touch directly to the input on my Audioengine A5+ left speaker. The right speaker is passive and is connected to the active left speaker by an acoustic cable. Although this cable is quite long (12 feet), the sound quality from my speakers is phenomenal. I originally used a much shorter cable but wanted to be able to place the iPod next to the chair I always sit in. There is absolutely no difference in sound quality between this long cable and the shorter cable I used. This one gets 5 stars.
