I ordered this watch for my 6 year old daughter primarily because of the flamingo. The bracelet is made of sturdy plastic and comes in a nice, bright, childlike color - pink with pink flamingos. The bracelet is reliable and therefore does not lose shape or color, it does not flap as easily as imitation leather straps. It went down very well with our daughter. I'm deducting a point because the minutes aren't numbered, so children die and can't read the minutes. Not suitable for beginners. Unfortunately, our daughter got a slight rash from the metal case on the back. Otherwise, a nice watch as a souvenir for little fashion-conscious girls :)
