Seems unfinished for interior

Leather has raw edges. I was hoping it would look like a fully finished product and protect all the edges of my key fob (which I almost broke after dropping it a couple of times in just a few months of ownership). Since the large hole is not finished, the key fob also tends to slip out a bit, which probably does not fully protect this fragile key fob.
