Although this duvet is lightweight, don't let that fool you as it will definitely keep you warm. First, I love the look of this pleated blanket. Along with the navy blue, it matches my matte black bed frame and gives it a more modern look. The fabric of this comforter is very soft, but this whole comforter will keep you warm and warm. The weather was in the mid to low 60's during the day but around the 40's at night. Although our heater kicks on from time to time, this comforter keeps us really warm at night. Since we received this blanket we have been using it on our bed. We wash them once a week and even after all the washes and dryers this duvet has been through, the blue in this duvet has shown no signs of fading. The stitching of this duvet is very strong and has withstood washing, drying, our use and even the animals that sleep on our bed. The sheets are just as soft and fit easily on our mattress. Our mattress is just over 10 inches and the sheet fits snugly over it and won't come loose as you move. We had a bed skirt on our bed but since all the animals were constantly hiding under our bed we ended up putting it on our daughter's bed and she loves it. She can take it off and put it back on herself. Overall this set was comfortable to use, but the main thing we really like is the quilt. Perfect for our winter nights or naps.
