Rusted as soon as I touched it
I bought this to install an overflow in my basement. It was the perfect spot - it fell right into the 8 inch space and was flush with the floor so I could easily put the dehumidifier hoses right on top of it. It rusted almost immediately, filling the drains with rust-colored sludge. I didn't even want to touch it after that, so I put two screwdrivers in the holes to "surgically" pull it out. While it's a solid piece of metal and fits well, the fact that it disintegrates so quickly doesn't make it a perfect product. I found an 8 inch pool drain cover that was plastic and put it back on instead.
