I ordered this to raise my TV a few inches to allow room for the center speaker to sit on the table in front. This works great and since I'm in two pieces I routed the speaker wire between them. My problem was the cheapness of the connectors as the screw connectors didn't stay straight and I was able to snap one of the dowels. half when connecting the boards. I have never had such a problem with IKEA furniture. But it should hold up well enough.
