Review on LG 40WP95C-W UltraWide Thunderbolt Borderless Monitor with Dual Controller, On Screen Control, Wide Color Gamut and 5120X2160P Resolution by Santhosh Crane

Flicker issues, poor feature set for the price

Expensive flickering monitors. This monitor does not support HDMI 2.1 so you essentially have two HDMI ports that cannot be used at full resolution at 72Hz as there is not enough bandwidth for HDMI 2.0. This means that only DisplayPort and Thunderbolt are available. Luckily, this monitor has TB4, so it connects to your display and accessories with a single cable. However, if you use a DP-enabled USB-C cable, you will experience flickering issues even if your computer supports DP over USB-C. The solution is to buy a Thunderbolt 4 cable, but the one supplied by LG is too short (1.5m length) so I have to shell out a longer cable. This monitor just isn't worth the money in 2022, should have come with HDMI 2.1 and a longer TB4 cable.
