I am a mother of 5 daughters. . . and we go through many brushes. We all have straight, long hair below the shoulders or longer. Our thickness varies from thin to thick. It arrived in a zipped bag. When opened, the brush had a strong chemical plastic odor that dissipated after about an hour. The handle has strong but flexible ribs that run vertically up and down the brush for a comfortable grip. The actual brush head is larger than it should be. The bristles are stiff but the soft head allows them to move when you comb your hair so they don't break even when used on wet hair. It also doesn't cause static electricity on my fine hair, which is a common problem. For the price, it's as good or even better than anything I can buy locally. Made in China.
