I only had to fill a 1" gap and ended up with VERY large circles (almost 2"). It's not bad, just something I didn't foresee and didn't expect. However, they prevent headboards/furniture from moving backwards. I used screws and tape to make sure it stays in place. The only downside was that the oversized screws ended up being about 1/4 inch, which he couldn't manufacture. Simply because the leg cannot be fully screwed in. For example if you need a specific length down the middle there is no extra or 1 extra, it may seem too long or too short to you. But I assume everyone is like that. I would buy them again.
